Product and Market Diagnostic Assessment.

Turn the symptom picture into a maturity level for each of the five parts, so the product-market work becomes measurable rather than a hunch.

For each part, read the five levels and record the one that most closely matches your current state. Most businesses are crossing the line between Level 2 (Aware) and Level 3 (Capable), so be honest about which side you are on.

Market and customer understanding

Level 1: no real understanding, pure assumption. Level 2: shallow, anecdotal. Level 3: deep, grounded understanding of market and needs. Level 4: rich, continuously updated insight. Level 5: market insight is a strength.

Product-market fit

Level 1: no fit, every sale a struggle. Level 2: weak or unclear fit. Level 3: genuine, validated fit. Level 4: strong, monitored fit. Level 5: exceptional fit and pull.

Positioning and differentiation

Level 1: invisible, undifferentiated. Level 2: vague positioning, weak differentiation. Level 3: clear position with genuine differentiation. Level 4: a distinct, valued market position. Level 5: a category-defining position.

Offer design

Level 1: a confusing, hard-to-buy jumble. Level 2: unclear or bespoke every time. Level 3: a designed, productized, buyable offer. Level 4: a refined, scalable offer. Level 5: an exemplary offer.

Market strategy and evolution

Level 1: no strategy, static, falling behind. Level 2: reactive, occasional change. Level 3: a market strategy and an evolution discipline. Level 4: coordinated, continuous evolution. Level 5: market-leading, always ahead.
