Recognition and Belonging System.

Make people feel seen and like they belong, so they are invested rather than transactional, and keep the practices alive over time.

Recognition works when it is specific ("the way you handled that client") and sincere; generic praise ("great job team") signals little. Belonging is built in small, consistent ways, not an annual event.

Recognition

What we recognizeHow (specific and sincere)How often / by whom
Great work and contribution
Living the values

Belonging

Sustaining the practices (Step 5)

Engagement is never won once, it erodes without continual, genuine investment. Keep these practices alive as part of how the team operates, and keep listening for what is changing.

Reading the result: specific, sincere recognition and small, consistent belonging practices are two of the most powerful and least expensive engagement drivers. Generic or absent recognition quietly signals that effort does not matter.
